Ingredients for Bow-Tie Pasta Creamy
1 pound bow-foodesa tie pasta (farfalle)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon black pepper /li>
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Method
Cook the pasta according to package directions.
While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth. Cook for 1 minute, whisking constantly.
Whisk in the garlic, oregano, thyme, pepper, and salt. Cook for 1 minute more, whisking constantly
Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat.
