Ingredients for Soya Tandoori Chaap
1 cup hung curd
1 cup Foodea Soya Chaap
one teaspoon Foodea ginger garlic paste
2 tsp Foodea Kashmiri red chilly powder
1 tsp Foodea tandoori masala (optional)
1/4 th teaspoon Foodea turmeric powder
Half teaspoon Foodea chaat masala
Half a teaspoon Foodea jeera powder
1/4 teaspoon Foodea Garam Masala
1/4 tsp Foodea black pepper powder
one teaspoon Foodea Kasturi methi
juice of half lemon
2 tbsp melted butter
oil for frying
To serve:
Green chutney & sliced onion
Method
In a bowl take hung curd add ginger garlic paste and all the dry masala, Kasuri methi, salt and melted butter and keep aside
Take whole Soya chaaps (come rolled on a ice cream stick).cut it vertically into two halves, discard the ice cream stick and further cut it into small pieces
Now take little oil in a non stick pan and fry these soya pieces till crisp. You can avoid frying to retain the health factor but I liked the fried texture more then the raw one
Now add fried soya chaaps in it and marinate it for sometime. You can also add diced onion and capsicum in the curd marination.
Now take skewers and insert these soya chaaps pieces in it…make two three skewers and keep aside.
Now either grill these skewers in an oven/ gas tandoor or directly on the gas flame till it is nice and charred.
Remove them from skewers onto a plate, sprinkle some Chaat masala and lemon juice. Serve hot with mint chutney and onion
